“Prior to becoming an orthodontist, I practiced general dentistry for several years. During that time, I felt there was something missing in what I was doing. And although my patients were happy with their treatment I felt I needed to do more for them.
“Orthodontics as it turns was the answer. It gives me the opportunity to make positive changes in the lives of our patients. Whether it’s crooked teeth, TMJ pain, headaches, jaw misalignment, sleep apnea or snoring, the problem is analyzed and a solution provided. The excitement and gratification both for myself and my patients, especially those in braces, comes at the end of treatment when the braces are removed. It’s a new beginning for a new person. You have something now that you've never had before … a great smile and everything that comes with it.
“It’s an awesome feeling to know you’ve been a part of the process. We have the potential to change lives, and we often do. ‘We Make Our Patients Smile.’ ” — Dr. Kosiorek
Passionate about his work, Dr. David E. Kosiorek finds great reward in the positive changes he is able to make in the lives of his patients. When he meets a new patient and speaks with them, hearing about their discomfort with the appearance of their teeth and smile, he knows he will be able to improve their self-confidence and create a smile they will be glad to share.
Orthodontic treatment occurs over time, which allows Dr. Kosiorek the opportunity to really get to know those he is helping. Originally a general dentist, it was these natural connections that he was able to make with his patients and the fulfillment he received from them that drew Dr. Kosiorek to orthodontic care.
This meaning derived from working one-on-one with others is also shared by the staff members in the practice. Patients are supported, encouraged, and engaged. The day when treatment is concluded and the braces are removed, the team and Dr. Kosiorek smile as widely as the patient.
